Michal Kubala is a Czech advertising and portrait photographer, director and analog lover living and working between Prague and Berlin.
With a strong eye for storytelling and visual identity, he has worked with clients such as Coca-Cola Pacific, Renault, Skoda Car, Loreal, Adidas—bringing a cinematic and authentic feel to both commercial and personal projects.

With over fifteen years of experience in photography, art direction, and motion, I create visual stories that connect brands with their most passionate audiences. My work blends analog and digital techniques, with a strong focus on emotion, storytelling, and timeless aesthetics.
1988 - Born in Brno, where my eye for light and storytelling began to take shape
2015 - Shanghai internship in advertising studio
2019 - Moving out of Prague to Sydney
2024 - Lounge Room exhibition - Sydney
2024 - Mate of Mind exhibition - Sydney
2025 - After six years abroad in Sydney, I’ve returned to Prague
Projects
I'm currently building a new space in Prague 7 — a film lab and store dedicated to keeping the spirit of film alive. Beyond developing and selling film, the goal is to support and grow the local creative community by offering a welcoming space for collaboration, inspiration, and education
